Super Easy Halloween DIY Craft Idea

It's the best time of the year again. You guessed it! Fall and Halloween time. This is my absolute favorite time of the year and with us all being stuck in the house more I wanted to share some fun and super easy Halloween DIY craft ideas. Today, I will share with you one of my favorite Halloween/Fall time DIY crafts using stuff you already have in your house.

Introducing my recycled Halloween glass jar decorations.

Here is what you will need:

A glass jar of your choice (for this project I recycled an old pickle jar, a jar of alfredo sauce, and a jar of tomato sauce).
Acrylic paints of your choice. I used this set: https://amzn.to/33Wsh1q

Now, let's get started!

Step 1: The first thing you will need is your glass jar. Like mentioned previously, for this recycled DIY craft I used an old pickle jar and jars from sauce. To make it easy to get the label sticker off I simply ran them under warm water and the label usually comes off pretty easy. If that doesn't work you can use white vinegar and that should help get any leftover off as well as any sticky residue. You can try: https://amzn.to/33WUVzr

Step 2: Make sure you fully dry your jar before painting and grab your brush and acrylic paint.

Step 3: Lay down a towel to protect your surface and find something to put your paint in. I like to use the back of the lids from the glass jar.

Step 4: Start painting the glass jar. I like to paint it once and let it dry and add a 2nd or 3rd layer of paint after the initial dries. If you are planning on adding lights inside I would suggest going with only one layer of paint.

Step 5: While your paint on the first jar is drying either clean your brush or grab a different one and start painting your next jar.

Step 6: Repeat Step 5 for as many jars as you wish to make

Step 7: Once your jars are completely dry you can start adding the faces. I just used paint but you can make it your own and use stuff like Googly Eyes, Glitter, etc.
